Shoaib Ibrahim provided an update on his wife Dipika Kakar’s health.

Her surgery was postponed due to a high fever but is rescheduled.

TV actor Shoaib Ibrahim has shared a health update about his wife, actress Dipika Kakar. Dipika has been diagnosed with a tumour in her liver. 

Initially, a surgery was scheduled, but it had to be postponed after she developed a high fever. The actress was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai for treatment.

In a recent update, Shoaib shared that Dipika’s fever is now under control and she has returned home. He added that, if everything goes as planned, the surgery has been rescheduled for next week.

On Friday, Shoaib Ibrahim posted a note on his Instagram Stories. It read, “To update you all about Dipika’s health. Her fever is under control and she is back home… Mostly her surgery is scheduled in the next week if all goes as planned. Please keep her in your prayers. (sic)”

Aly Goni has reacted to the criticism he received after jokingly referring to girlfriend Jasmin Bhasin as “chapri” on social media. 

The Laughter Chefs actor recently re-shared a post which read: “Jasly calls each other chhapri, internet thrashes them for their ‘chhapri’ game, says ‘It’s not funny.’” 

Aly tagged Jasmin in the story and wrote, “It’s not funny,” adding several laughing emojis. Jasmin also re-shared the same post and commented, “But it was supposed to be funny.”

Earlier, Aly had shared an old picture of Jasmin dressed in a white crop top and jeans on his Instagram stories, along with the caption: “Kya Jasmin chapri hai (Is Jasmin tacky)” and a laughing emoji. Jasmin responded by sharing a sketch of Aly, writing, “Kya Aly chapri hai (Is Aly tacky).”

While the exchange was intended as playful banter between the couple, it drew criticism online. 

Several users on Reddit called out Aly for the “chapri” comment, saying it was disrespectful. One user commented, “Who posts like this for your girlfriend, man?” while another wrote, “Bruh this guy is such a red flag it is unreal.” Another user said, “They both are dumb actually, it’s not even funny.”

Aly Goni and Jasmin Bhasin made their relationship public during their time on Bigg Boss 14 and have been together ever since.

This confrontation sets him on a path to compete in the ultimate karate tournament, guided by the wisdom of Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso. The film stars Jackie Chan, Ben Wang and Ralph Macchio in pivotal roles.

2. Sister Midnight (May 30) – Theatres

This dark comedy features Radhika Apte as Uma, a newlywed woman grappling with the challenges of married life in a small Mumbai town. As Uma seeks liberation from societal expectations, she undergoes a dramatic transformation, embracing a ruthless side and confronting her primal instincts.

Alia Bhatt is having an eventful time in Spain, courtesy her BFF’s wedding. After making a spectacular debut at the 78th Cannes Film Festival in France, Alia Bhatt jetted off to Spain. Pictures from the celebrations are already viral on social media.

The Internet seemed to be impressed by Alia’s boho look. Alia wore a multi-coloured lehenga. She added a bit of funky touch with a pair of sunglasses and a bandana. Alia Bhatt grabbed eyeballs in an iconic custom Gucci saree, the brand’s first-ever bespoke saree, at the film gala’s closing ceremony on May 24.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt has two upcoming projects. She has been shooting for Alpha, the first female-led spy drama from Yash Raj Films’ spy-verse. She will also feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has urged streaming platforms, including Netflix, Prime Video and JioHotstar, to boycott Turkish shows following the country’s support to Pakistan amid heightened tensions with India.

In a statement, released on Thursday, the organisation said they stand “firmly for the interest of the nation and industry”.

“We are writing to express our serious concern and strong objection regarding the continued streaming and promotion of Turkish shows on various Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms operating in India.

“As is well known, Turkey has consistently extended diplomatic and political support to Pakistan on matters that are detrimental to India’s sovereignty and national interest, including on sensitive issues such as Kashmir,” the FWICE said.

The union body, which represents workers, technicians, and artists from 36 different crafts working in the Indian media and entertainment industry, further said it is not in India’s best interest to allow the content of a nation that does not support its territorial integrity to be consumed widely by Indian audiences.

The FWICE urged the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting to consider taking necessary action to boycott or restrict the streaming of Turkish television shows and films on Indian OTT platforms.

Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan maintain a strong friendship.

Both are co-owners of the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

KKR finished their 2025 season without qualifying for the playoffs.

Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan share a long-standing camaraderie. In addition to working together in several films, the duo are also co-owners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

KKR, who won its third title under Shreyas Iyer last season, has failed to qualify for the playoffs this time. On Sunday (May 25), the Kolkata-based side lost their last league fixture to SRH by 110 runs, wrapping up their 2025 campaign on a disappointing note.

Now, an old video of Juhi Chawla speaking about KKR’s rough start in the initial years of the tournament has surfaced on the internet. The actress had revealed that her kids, Arjun and Jhanvi Mehta, would often get emotional when KKR frequently finished at the bottom of the table.

Juhi Chawla, in a past interaction with Rajeev Masand, said, “Those were trying times when during the first initial years, KKR would come at the bottom of the list and my kids would cry saying, ‘What is this team you have?’ And they would go to the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, and it was not easy for them.”

The controversy around Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next directorial Spirit refuses to die down. Days after reports claimed Deepika Padukone was “dropped” from the film over remuneration issues and “unprofessional” behaviour, Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared a social media post, indirectly taking a jibe at the actress over her dirty “PR games”.

After Deepika Padukone’s exit, Triptii Dimri was roped in for the film.  

In an X post, Sandeep Reddy Vanga wrote Deepika Padukone had violated the Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) as a part of her “dirtyPRgames”. The Animal director also questioned Deepika’s idea of “feminism”. 

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s angry post read, “When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA(Non Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, You’ve ‘DISCLOSED’ the person that you are….

“Putting down a Younger actor and ousting my story?  Is this what your feminism stands for? As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft & for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn’t get it. You won’t get it. You will never get it. 

“Aisa karo…. Agli baar poori kahani bolna… kyunki mujhe jarra bhi farak nahi padtha. (Next time, please tell the whole story. Actually, I don’t care).”

Mukul Dev, known for films like Son of Sardaar, passed away at 54.

He was the younger brother of actor Rahul Dev, who shared the news online.

Mukul is survived by his daughter Sia and siblings Rashmi and Rahul.

Mukul Dev who is credited with films like Son of Sardaar, R… Rajkumar, and Jai Ho, passed away last night in Delhi, at the age of 54.

Mukul Dev was actor Rahul Dev’s younger brother. Rahul took to Instagram to share an official family statement on the sad demise of Mukul.

The post read, “Our brother Mukul Dev passed away peacefully in New Delhi last night. He is survived by his daughter Sia Dev. Missed by siblings Rashmi Kaushal, Rahul Dev and nephew Sidhant Dev. Please join us for cremation at 5 PM.

Mukul Dev was last seen in the Hindi film Anth The End.

Born in New Delhi to a Punjabi family, Mukul Dev had roots in a village near Jalandhar. His father, Hari Dev, served as an assistant commissioner of police and introduced him to Afghan culture. He was fluent in Pashto and Persian.

Mukul Dev’s first experience with performance came while he was in Class 8 when he impersonated Michael Jackson in a dance show organised by Doordarshan. He received his first pay cheque for this act.

He was also a trained pilot, having studied at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi.

Mukul began his acting career in television with the serial Mumkin in 1996, playing the role of Vijay Pandey. He later appeared in Doordarshan’s Ek Se Badh Kar Ek, a Bollywood countdown comedy show, and also hosted the first season of Fear Factor India.

He made his film debut with Dastak, where he played ACP Rohit Malhotra. The film also marked the acting debut of former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen.
